Some grocery shopping tips

  • cook at home all by yourself
  • plan your menu ahead
  • never go grocery shopping being hungry
  • avoid junk food aisles while shopping
  • read labels
  • visit local farmers markets
  • save money using weekly grocery ads
  • vary foods you buy from time to time
  • try new fruit and vegetable each week
  • don’t be afraid of frozen vegetables

Remember that in grocery stores most food items are put together to make your decision-making easier. Explore your store once or twice and then stick to fruits and vegetables, fresh dairy and protein rich foods, grains and bio foods aisles. Grabbing a smaller basket will also help you to do grocery shopping up to your healthy foods list.
