Great news! Scientists have finally found a way to eat desserts and lose weight! A group of researches from Tel Aviv (Israel) conducted a study, that shows we don’t have to avoid sweets. But what’s the secret?
Is it possible to eat desserts and lose weight?
The secret is you just have to eat them at the right time of the day. An incredible statement, isn’t it?
A team of researches conducted an experiment involving 193 patients with excess weight. They were divided into two groups. The first group received a moderate breakfast (about 300 calories), and the other had a more heavy one (about 600 calories), including a dessert. Daily amount of calories consumption was the same (and was rather small) for both groups.
After eight months of a diet all of the participants have lost about 15 kg. But guess what happened next? You’ll be surprised! Those who ate desserts for breakfast later lost up to 7 kg each. While the others had a plateau, or even gained back up to 10 kg.
Here’s an explanation made by one of the scientists: “Those who followed a low-carb diet were constantly hungry, therefore they often ate at the wrong time. And those who had a dessert felt fine and didn’t even try to break a diet plan. Morning is the best time for having a dessert, because our metabolism is faster in the morning.”

- Chocolate. Choose the darkest one, containing at least 75% cacao.
- Fruit and berries. A cup of fresh blueberries contains only 80 calories!
